Frank C. Mankin, age 88, of Alliance, passed away at 9:25 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born July 12, 1926, in Sebring, Ohio, to Earl and Essie (Van Kirk) Mankin.
Frank was a manager at Gem Clay (now Ferro Corporation) retiring after 45 years. He was of the protestant faith and his hobbies included woodworking, cooking and baking. He was an avid football fan and dog lover, especially T.T.
He was a WWII and Korean War veteran of the United States Navy serving honorably for over 10 years.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Donna M. (Lanam) Mankin whom he married June 7, 1969; daughter, Beth Mankin Fox; sons, Richard (Kandy) Brotherton, Daniel Brotherton, U.S. Army, Ret., and Tracy Brotherton; grandchildren, Stormy, Michelle, Jonathan, Jasmine and Sommer Brotherton and Blaize (Nikki Welsh) Weatherspoon; great-grandchildren, Nyjah, Theo and Bastien; and sisters, Martha (Larry) Leider, Charlotte Durbin and Joyce Hamon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and one brother.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Glen Davidson officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
