Frank W. McDougal

June 23, 1973 — January 9, 2022

Alliance

On Sunday, January 9, 2022, Frank W. McDougal Jr., loving husband, father of six children, and grandfather of five went to be with Jesus at age 48.

Frank was born June 23, 1973, in Canton, Ohio, to Frank Sr. and Patricia (Tessanne) McDougal. He was a greatly accomplished man who walked through life with heart, a sense of humor, and unmatched wit.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Liberty University in 2021 and was working on his Master’s in Divinity.

Frank became a State Licensed Master Plumber in 2005 and often provided his skills pro bono to members of the family and the community. Frank owned Living Water Plumbing from 2005 to 2013 and worked as a subcontractor for Wiley Currence of Currence & Sons Plumbing for 20 years throughout his career. Wiley served as a mentor and close friend. Many who worked with Frank knew him by the nickname Frankie White.

He was also a talented musician and a strong Christian man. He lived fervently and freely gave of himself without any expectations. Frank was a member of Grace Community Church, and he played the drums on the worship team at churches throughout his life. He continued to read and study the Bible so he could spread the word of God to the world and had great plans to bring his community to Jesus.

Frank made strong relationships and showed love to everyone he met. Frank left behind many friends, too many friends to mention. There wasn’t a single person he met that wasn’t a friend.

He was married on April 22, 2005, to Linda Ruffier McDougal, and together they loved and cared for their family for 20 years. Frank was a caring and wonderful father to Kaylin Rose, Elizabeth Rose, Daniel Rose, Andrew Rose, Seattle (husband Ciaran) Brittain, and Freddie Griffin. One of Frank’s greatest joys in life was being a grandfather to his five beautiful grandchildren, Jacob, Jonathon, Jeremy, Ronan, and Emily. He loved sharing his passion for music with his grandchildren, taking care of them, and finding ways to plan ornery surprises. Frank also leaves behind his parents; sister, Patricia McDougal; and friend, Jonathan Rose who he viewed as the brother he never had. He had a large family with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other distant family members.

Frank was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Bernadine Blile, William Tessanne, and June (Bishop) Wells.
