Frank T. Packe, age 78 of Alliance, died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born Aug. 2, 1928 in Sewickley, Pennsylvania to Frank and Laura C. (Scott) Packe and lived in Alliance since 1946.
Mr. Packe attended school in Pa., and worked from 1946-1989 at the former Alliance Ware, before retiring as a Miller from Crane Co.
A member of the Alliance Church of Christ, Frank enjoyed being outdoors. He enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel A. (Steed) Packe, whom he married June 11, 1949; one son, James T. (Bonnie) Packe of Chesapeake, Va.; one grandson, Jason (Andrea) Packe of Portsmouth, Va.; one step-great-granddaughter, Kali; two sisters, Martha Bahler of Mount Dora, Fla., and Virginia Gerhauser of Vancouver, Wa.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Pauline Coy; and one brother, Henry K. Packe.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Lowe officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
