Frank W. "Scotty" Scott Sr., age 74 of Alliance, died at 7 p.m. July 6, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 8, 1933 in Homeworth, Ohio to Fred Scott Sr. and Marie (Tilton) Scott. Mr. Scott attended Minerva High School and was employed by the former Royal China in Sebring for 20 years, and retired from Stark Ceramics in East Canton.
Mr. Scott was formerly a member of the VFW Post 1036 in Alliance, and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2199 in Minerva.
Scotty enjoyed his farm, being outdoors and his dog, Bear.
Survivors include three sons, Frank (Kathy) Scott Jr., Tim Scott, and Barry (Sabrina) Scott, all of Alliance; one daughter, Phyllis (Steve) Runion of Alliance; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one brother, Fred (Beverly) Scott Jr. of Minerva; two sisters, Helen (Eugene) Bell of Salem, and Dorothy Mae Kelly of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife, Rosa Lee Scott, one daughter, Laverna M. Scott, one brother, Paul Scott, and one sister-in-law, Joyce Scott.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. David Ashbrook of Maximo Zion Church officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
