Franklin Persutti, age 85, of Alliance, passed away at 5:33 a.m., Monday, April 7, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born March 11, 1929, in Belmont, New York, to Raphael and Kathryn (Rabb) Persutti.
Franklin was employed by Norfolk Southern Railroad as a yard foreman until his retirement after 40 years of service.
He attended Maranatha Church of God and enjoyed fishing, hunting deer and small game. He also enjoyed watching sporting events and working as an auto mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby E. (Beagle) Persutti, whom he married March 17, 1975; sons, Frank Persutti and Michael (Debbie) Persutti, both of Depew, NY, James Persutti of Cheektowaga, NY, Sean (Connie) Persutti of Delevan, NY and Tony (Trisha) Persutti of Alliance; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (James) Pratt of Darby, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Arthur and Roland Persutti; brother, Ralph Persutti; and a sister, Dorothy Wright.
Services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2014, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jeffrey Caldwell officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, and one hour prior to the service.
