Fred Snyder

Fred W. Snyder, age 87, passed away Sunday July 26, 2020 at Alliance Community Care Center.

He was born May 28, 1933 to Fred R. and Maye (Fry) Snyder.

Fred served his country honorably first in the United States Army, then enlisting in the United States Air Force.

Fred owned and operated the Alliance Drive-In for 23 years from 1973-1996 before his retirement.

He was baptized at the First Christian Church where he went on to marry his wife of over 60 years, Margaret Brienza in 1958.

Fred was a member of the Vets of Alliance for many years along with the American Legion.

He was an avid golfer, hiker, loved to canoe and explore caves. Anything involving adventure and finding covered bridges.

Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Margaret Snyder; daughter Sharon (Dean) Mathey; grandson Jason A. Snyder, and Trevor Mathey.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Calling hours will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. with services to follow, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home Friday July 31st. Nancy Castellucci will be serving as celebrant. Interment to be held at Fairmount Memorial Park.
