Freda M. Jurs, age 92, of Alliance, Ohio, died at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at McCrea Manor.
She was born October 29, 1918 in Sebring, Ohio to Samuel and Catherine (Routh) Benning.
Freda was employed at Babcock and Wilcox Research in the duplicating department for 40 years until her retirement.
She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and a former member of the Alliance Woman's Club.
Survivors include her daughters, Joan Wright of Davie, Fla., Joyce Cartwright of Canton, Barbara McNeil and Elizabeth Rich, both of Naples, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and sisters, Ann and Dorothy.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Henry William Jurs, whom she married September 5, 1964; daughter, Marjorie (Jurs) Roby who died May 23, 1977; and a sister.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. David Hostettler officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
