Frederick Carl Sayre Sr., Age 78 of Alliance, passed away on June 22, 2021. He had dementia for a few years.
He was born April 27, 1943 in Salem, Ohio to Harold W. and Helen (Coalmer) Sayre. He was a 1962 graduate of Alliance High School. Fred worked 43 years at Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg, Ohio. He had two very special friends at work, Billy D. Sells and Bill Sherman, who he and his wife both considered extended family.
Fred was a member of the National Guard for 6 years and was a member of the American Legion. He loved to go hunting with his relatives, friends and his dogs.
Fred is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wanda (Stull) Sayre, whom he married on April 26, 1969; his children, Fred (Ina) Sayre Jr. and Traci (Art) Cameron; his grandchildren, Caroline Linder, John Linder, Ava Sayre and Delani Cameron; sister, Judy Kertel; nieces, Michelle, Melissa and Leesa; nephews, Shawn, Brent, Steve, Troy, Bill and Paul; sister-in-law, Pat Steiner; brothers-in-law, Terry (Janet) Stull and Lou Pannunzio.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, Janet Pannunzio; brothers-in-law, Stanley Kertel and William Steiner; niece, Debra Steiner; and nephew, Robert Steiner.
No services will be held as Fred wished to be cremated.
Wanda would like to thank relatives and friends who were there for her the last several months, and give a special thank you to Mercy Hospice.
