Frederick M. Trautman
Fred Trautman, age 75, of Damascus, passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, at 10:22 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born September 21, 1937 in Alliance to Frederick and Pauline (Gulling) Trautman.
A 1956 graduate of Alliance High School, in 1960 Fred earned his bachelor's degree from Kent State University and retired from Bristol Laboratories after 30 years as a pharmaceutical rep.
Fred was a former CCD teacher at St. Joseph Church in Randolph, Ohio, past president of the St Joseph Home and School Association, past Grand Knight of the St. Joseph K of C and a former president of the Waterloo School Board. He also enjoyed auctions, playing euchre at the senior center and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Barb (Terry) Fox of Randolph, Ohio and their children, Amanda and Tyler, Jackie Esselburn of Suffield, Ohio and her son Ian, Fred (Lynne) Trautman of Alliance, and their son Connor, Brian (Karalyn) Trautman of Randolph, Ohio and their children, Brian, Kayla, Kerrie and Jarett and Joanie (Gary) Harrison of Suffield, Ohio, and their children, Samantha (Brent), D.J., Isabel and Ava; former wife of 38 years, Joan (Cracknell) Trautman of Randolph, Ohio; sister, Mary Trautman of Montreal, Quebec and brother, Frank Trautman of Atwater; and friend and companion, Luneta Box of North Benton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and granddaughter, Aubrey Trautman.
A private memorial service will be held.
