Fredrick J. “Fritzie” Stauffenger, age 92, went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2025.
He was born on December 2, 1932, in Alliance, to Fredrick and Sylvia (Schmied) Stauffenger.
Fritzie graduated from Alliance High School in 1950 and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
Fritzie was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed building projects. Fritzie was the ultimate family man. He never missed a sporting event or Birthday party. His family meant everything to him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 68 years, Gail (Zarrelli) Stauffenger; children, Len (Krista) Stauffenger, Steven (Michele) Stauffenger, and Eric (Mary) Stauffenger; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and two on the way; and sister, Sandra Stauffenger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Stauffenger; and sister, Nancy Stauffenger.
A private mass will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
