Garneth "Lish" Diefenbacher

Garneth Elisha "Lish" Diefenbacher, age 83, of Canton, passed away at 11:45 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center.
She was born January 17, 1933, in Alliance, Ohio, to Joseph and Helen (Beloskey) Zelinskas.
Lish was a 1951 graduate of McKinley High School and a 1954 graduate of Aultman School of Nursing. She was formerly employed as an industrial nurse for B&W Research for 36 years until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Canton.
Her survivors include many nieces, nephews, and cousins, Kurt Weber, Sharrell Weber Schell and Roland Schell, all of Topeka, Kansas, Dr. Timothy (Kathy) Weber of Shelton, Washington, and Charlotte (Leonard) Bossart, Thomas (Trina) Dornhecker, and Susan (Steve) Criswell, all of North Canton; and numerous great-nieces; and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred W. Diefenbacher, whom she married June 18, 1966; and who died January 13, 2009; and her sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2016, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 726 Cleveland Ave., NW Canton, Ohio 44702 with Fr. Edward Beneleit officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at North Lawn Cemetery in Canton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 332 N. Lauderdale St. Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
