Gary Miller

Gary M. Miller, age 68, of Alliance, went home to his Lord and Savior, July 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. He was home, surrounded by loved ones.
Gary was born in Barnesville, Ohio on April 23, 1943 to the late Carlos and Lillian (Brown) Miller.
He worked at B&W Tubular Products until his retirement in 2002 after 33 years of service. Gary also owned and operated Miller Sharpening Service for 13 years. He loved working outside, and enjoyed helping his family, friends, and neighbors.
He is survived by the love of his life, Mary E. (Ritchie) Miller, whom he married Jan. 29, 1977; six children, Ebony Miller, Gary A. (Karen) Miller, Timothy (Lynn) Miller, Marie (John) Rothbrust, Jeff Hines, and Jerry Hines, all of Alliance; sisters and brothers, Carla (Harry) Carter, of Salem, Steven Miller, of Lower Salem, Susan Hines, Connie (Edward) Green, and Charles (Patty) Miller, all of Alliance; brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws, Helen (Harold) Slabaugh, of Indiana, Ruth (Robert) Ott, Clara Hughes, Sandy (Mark) McClung, Donna (Harry) Brown, Debbie (David) Fisher, Bryan (Darlene) Ritchie, and Fred (Corliss) Ritchie, all of Alliance; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary also loved his four-legged kids, Max, Buddy, Miss Kitty, Sampson, and Mickey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Brandon Miller.
Gary will be deeply missed as he was loved by all!
Services will be held at Noon Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Don Nicely officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
