Gayle Rose, age 69, of Alliance, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2009 at Bel-Air Care Center.
She was born, December 2, 1940 in Olive Hill, Kentucky to Ruth Skaggs.
Gayle attended Mauck Ridge School in Sandy Hook, Kentucky, and was former co-owner of Rose's Custom Butchery in Homeworth, and was later employed in maintenance at the Carnation Mall.
An avid gardener, wonderful cook, and seamstress, she enjoyed reading, enjoyed her pet dogs, and spending time with her grandson, William.
Gayle is survived by her son, Bill (Amy) Rose of Alliance; grandson, William Rose; a sister, Reba (Don) Green of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; and her best friend, Mary Kiser of Alliance.
Preceding her in death were her mother; several brothers; and sisters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Fr. Michael Seifert of Regina Coeli officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
