Gaylord D. Fox age 91 of Alliance, died at his home at 5:17 p.m. April 16, 2004.
He was born Sept. 30, 1912 to Arlie and Ella (Ruffier) Fox, and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Fox graduated from the former Marlboro High School, and was a School Bus Driver for 37 years for the Marlboro and Marlington School Districts, and retired from farming in 1995.
Mr. Fox was a member of Science Hill Church of Christ, the Farm Bureau and the Alliance Senior Citizens Center.
He is survived by his wife; Emma E. (Ringwald) Fox, whom he married June 9, 1938, one son; Gordon (Jo) Fox, of Marlboro, three daughters; Marilyn (Dale) Montgomery, and Joyce (Louis) Quinn, both of Marlboro, and Evelyn (Lloyd) Neiswonger of Canton; eight grandchildren, Betty (John) George, Lori Robertson, Gary (Christy) Montgomery, Brian (Nancy) Quinn, Jill (Scott) Young, Bret Neiswonger, Kelly Gandee, and Ashley Fox, and eight great-grandchildren; Kara Robertson, Kacy Robertson, Tyler George, Adam George, Nicole Montgomery, Christopher Young, Brandon Young and Justin Gandee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Eleanor Lloyd in 1971.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Stirbens officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Science Hill Church of Christ, or the Marlboro Volunteer Fire Department.
