Gene A. “Bucky” Wyand, age 95, of Alliance, passed away at his home on March 21, 2021.
He was born on April 10, 1925 in Alliance to Lawrence and Marion (Buchanan) Wyand.
Gene graduated from Alliance High School. He worked for Timken for 30 years operating a De-Grasser and as a self-employed salesman for 20 years. Gene was a member of Community Bible Church. He was a past commander of the VFW and held almost all offices in the past. Gene served honorably in the United States Army during WWII.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Amy (Michael) Couch and Lori (Wayne Baer) Wyand; his granddaughter Taylor Couch; and his special friend, Kathleen Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Marjorie (Steltzer) Wyand, whom he married October 21, 1951 and who passed on February 28, 2004.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and caretakers from Aultman Alliance Hospice and Your Home Court Advantage.
A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Saturday, March 27th at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John Tucker officiating. Friends may call one hour prior. A private interment will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park.
