Genevieve Tucker

Genevieve A. (Rutter) Tucker, age 87, of Alliance, died at 2:34 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2011, at Sterling House of Alliance.
She was born July 4, 1924, in The Plains, Ohio, to Clarence and Iva (McKee) Rutter and has resided in Alliance since 1944.
Mrs. Tucker was a graduate of The Plains High School and retired from Sears after 28 years of service.
She is survived by her sons, Preston D. (Sandy) Tucker of Alliance and Richard (Chris) Tucker of Canton; daughters, Barbara (Jeff) Kidwell and Sue E. Heestand, both of Alliance; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great- great-grandsons.
Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Preston E. Tucker, whom she married June 12, 1942, and who died February 2, 2000; brothers, James and Lawrence Rutter and sisters, Wilma Adams and Eleanor Cooke.
A private family service will be held. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
