George Michael Antonosanti, age 48, of Alliance passed away at 7:13 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Parma Community Hospital.
He was born October 19, 1960, in Alliance, to Richard J. and Margaret (Larkins) Antonosanti.
George was a graduate of Marlington High School, the Stark County Paramedic program in 1982, the Dakota Aero Tech in General and Air Frame and a graduate of the Columbus Technical Institute in their Power Plant Program in 1987.
He was a United States Air Force Veteran having served in Desert Storm.
A Chief Maintenance Inspector for the former Eastern Airlines, he also worked for Value Jet, Airtran and other airline companies. He was a licensed Ham Radio operator, a licensed private pilot, a member of Perry Masonic Lodge #185 F & AM in Salem, Grand Chapter of the Royal Arch Masons of Ohio (Salem Chapter #94) Grand Council Royal and Select Masons of Ohio (Omega Council #44) Knights Templar Commandry #42 of Salem, and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 334 of Salem.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret (Larkins) Antonosanti of Alliance, one sister, Beth Ann Collins of Florida; a step-sister, Melissa Strayer of Washington; his biological father, George H. Strayer Jr. of Brooklyn Ohio; two aunts; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard J. Antonosanti.
Services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Amey officiating. A Knights Templar service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday followed by an Eastern Star Service at 6:30 p.m. Friends may call from 7 - 8:30 p.m. prior to the service.
