George Kelly Riggins

George Kelly Riggins, age 85, of Alliance, passed away at 7:49 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 at Aultman Alliance Hospital.

He was born January 3, 1938, in Alliance, Ohio to Walter Jenkins Taylor and Eva Riggins.

A 1961 graduate of Alliance High School, Kelly worked as a spot welder at Transue and Williams. He was also employed with Rental Uniform, Cintas, Alliance Crane, and Ross Roofing.

Kelly loved helping people, working with wood, fishing, boxing, puzzles and football. He also loved playing the guitar, harmonica and banjo.

He will be loved and missed by his family, including his wife, Joyce (Kelly) Riggins, whom he married December 26, 1975; his daughter, Andrea Riggins-Rice; his son, Kelly Walter Riggins; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Celestina, and two sisters, Thelma Taylor, and Shirley Riggins.

Family and Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
