George B Watson

George B. Watson, of Uniontown, and formerly of Alliance passed away at Akron General Hospital on December 7, 2020.

He was born April 16, 1941 in Knoxville, PA to William “Doc” Watson and Agnes (Kalinoski) Watson. George was raised in Castle Shannon, PA.

George received his Bachelor’s Degree from Youngstown State University, and his Master’s Degree in Engineering from Carnegie Mellon.

He worked as a Mechanical Engineer at B&W Research for more than 40 years.

George was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Green.

He will be loved and missed by his family, including his children, William “Bill” Watson, of Cuyahoga Falls, Cheryl Russell, of Alliance, and Tammy Mikes, of Alliance; grandchildren, Drew Russell, Ian Watson, Joseph Mikes, Jacob Watson, and Katie Mikes; great-grandson, Taiden Mikes, and brother, Raymond (Jane) Watson, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home December 12th at 12:00 p.m. with Fr. David Durkee officiating. Friends may call for two hours prior to the service.
