Georgia A. White, age 77, of Alliance, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at McCrea Manor.
She was born July 10, 1932 in Alliance, to Henry A. and Gladys (Worley) Salisbury and was a lifelong Alliance resident.
Georgia loved reading, working crossword puzzles, singing karaoke, and listening to music. She was very generous. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and others.
Survivors include her five sons, Daniel White of Columbus, Jay (Diane) White of Akron, Charles White of North Dakota, Randy White and Christopher White, both of Alliance; five daughters, Deborah (Terry) Peters of Dellroy, Kimberly (Steve) Elliott of Alliance, Michelle (Mike) Daily of Akron, Cherie Howell of Alliance, and Nichole (Brian) White of Minerva; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Delores) Salisbury of Baltimore, Maryland; sisters, Lois Dailey and Fran Orzo, both of Alliance; brother-in-law, Jack Rhodes of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Raymond H. White whom she married, July 10, 1951; one sister, Maxine Rhodes; and a daughter-in-law, Lynnette White.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor James White of Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call from 6 - 9 p.m. Monday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
