Gerald Chappell

Gerald Chappell, age 75, of Alliance, passed away January 1, 2019, at his home.
He was born March 25, 1943, in Alliance, Ohio, to Robert Harold and Mary (Francis) Chappell.
Gerald married his wife, Joann M. (Carl) Chappell and they shared 51 years of marriage until her death on October 19, 2018.
He was employed at Universal Material Incorporated for 20 years where he retired as a foreman. He loved yard work and working on puzzles.
Survivors include his son, Mark E. Chappell; three step children, Deborah Boyce, Sandra Kay Moreland, and Wayne E. Adams, Jr.; six grandchildren, Thomas Lee Brant, Tammy Sue Brant, Stacy Morgan, Jennifer Oswald, John Scott Moreland II and Laura Adams; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; three sisters, Alberta Ward, Sylvia Walton and Margie Fisher; and brother, Ernie Chappell.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Gerald was preceded in death by his three sisters, Martha Grey, Thelma Leppard and Audrey Campbell.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2019, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Grow officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
