Gerald Riebold, age 84, passed away at The Meadows at Osborn Park on January 12, 2021.
He was born on November 9, 1936 in Steubenville, Ohio to Elvie (Dawson) and Red Riebold.
Gerald was one of the first plumbers in the US Navy Seabees serving in the Artic and Antartic where he helped build the stations from the ground up. He also served in the United States Airforce during which time he spent eight years in Korea and Asia and traveled around the world 7 times. He later worked for the Alliance City Water Department until his retirement. Gerald enjoyed fishing and wood working. He also served as a crossing guard for the Alliance City Schools. Gerald was a member of the VFW Post 1036 and Tri County Church of Christ.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, David (Sue) Riebold; daughter, Sherri Riebold; grandchildren, Amanda, Samantha, Kerri and Mariann; step-children, Penny, Patty and Paula; step-grandchildren, Brittney, Eddie, Liz, Ramon, Anthony, Jazymin and Alex; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leah Riebold; and his brother, Donald Riebold.
A funeral service will be held at Highland Memorial Park on January 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
