Gerald Rogers

Gerald Rogers, age 82, of Alliance, passed away on December 27, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on May, 16, 1940, in Alliance to Brunner and Nancy (Young) Rogers.

Gerald served honorably in the United States Army.

Prior to his retirement, in Alliance, he was the owner/operator of a home security – alarm business.

Gerald was known to be a stylish man who was well travelled and loved jazz music. He had deep, thoughtful convictions and enjoyed living life on his own terms.

In his spare time he enjoyed collecting rare African art as well as taking on home improvement projects. He was resourceful and gifted to use the tools around him to fix things and solve problems.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jeri Groce of Mitchellville, MD; son Gerald Rogers of Los Angeles, CA; and sister, Clairie Ford of Alliance. Gerald leaves behind to cherish his memory many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
