Gerald A. Severance II

Gerald A. Severance II, age 72, of Alliance, passed away Tuesday morning, August 27, 2019 at his home.

He was born May 4, 1947, in Alliance, Ohio to Gerald A. and Dorothy (Gfeller) Severance and resided most of his life in Alliance.

Gerald was a graduate of Alliance High School and formerly worked at Robertson Industry in Canton and Handy & Harmon Automotive in Dover, Ohio. He was also an EMT wheelchair van driver.

He was a member of the Louisville Eagles, and Alliance Dante Club.

Gerald served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era on the USS Enterprise.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda (Daniels) Severance whom he married August 9, 1969; son, David (Len) Severance of Alliance; two daughters, Brenda Jayne (John) Morrow of Reidsville, North Carolina and Brandy Jerilyn (Rick) Peloso of Alliance, and 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his son, Robert Wayne Severance.

A memorial service will be held at Noon, Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Neal Mann officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
