Geraldine McKnight

Geraldine V. McKnight, age 84, of Alliance, died at 4:28 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born January 17, 1924 in Alliance, Ohio to Ross and Susie (Rickel) Risden. Geraldine was a graduate of Alliance High School. She loved the joy that painting, gardening and her family brought to her life. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her. Survivors include her five daughters, Judith L. Turner of Kent, Joanne (Robert) Houmard and Christine K. (Ted) Chiporo, both of Alliance, Mary L. (John) Holman of Tennessee and Cynthia J. McKnight of Canton; five grandsons; five granddaughters; one sister, Berdine Evans of Kent; and one brother, Earl Risden of Alliance. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence J. McKnight, whom she married April 25, 1945 and who died June 10, 1998 and one brother, Virgil Risden. Memorial Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Graveside Services will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park with Sue Dehoff officiating. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, Alliance, Ohio.
