Geraldine (Ware) Potts, age 81, of Alliance, died at 12:15 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2009 at Aultman Hospital
She was born July 16, 1928, in Belington, West Virginia to Cecil and Blanche (Farris) Ware.
A 1950 graduate of Belington High School, Geraldine had been employed at Coastal Pet and Genie Company. She was a member of Vine Street United Methodist Church, and enjoyed sewing, painting and traveling.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Potts of Alliance; brothers Thomas Ware of Belington, W.Va, Max (Fay) Ware and Bernie (Shelby) Ware of Alliance, and Cecil (Lavonda) Ware of New Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband, William Potts whom she married on June 26, 1954 and who died May 20, 1990; and brothers, Lonnie and Fletis Ware.
Private Services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Dr. David Bloor. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
