Geraldine Ann (Manley) Thompson, age 64, of Ellsworth, Ohio, died at 9:40 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2007, at Aultman Hospital.
She was born February 3, 1943 in Youngstown, Ohio to Harry T. and Margaret (Stein) Manley and resided in the Youngstown vicinity for the past ten years.
Geraldine attended St Patrick's Catholic Church in Youngstown. She graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School and received her Elementary Education Teaching Degree from Regis University in Colorado and also an Accounting Degree from Metro State College. She taught 1st. grade at St. Joseph's School in Mantua, Ohio and also at Montessori School in Catholic Schools in Colorado.
Survivors include her daughter Heather Ann Beck of Manchester, England; sons, Bruce Allan (Carrie) Thompson II of Sedalia, Co., Jay Munly of Denver, Co., and Winston Edward Thompson of Ellsworth; granddaughter Hanna Thompson of Sedalia, Co., siblings, David (Ruth Ann) Manley of Hinckley, Oh, Judy Just of Marblehead, Oh, Mary Martha Hendricks of Wellington, Oh and Anthony (Mary Ann) Manley of Strongsville, Oh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruce A. Thompson, Sr. whom she married June 15, 1963 and who died August 18, 2006; and brother, Fred Manley.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Youngstown. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be at Thompson Cemetery in Bluffton, Ohio.
