Gladys R. Canon, age 96 of Alliance, died at 2:10 a.m. November 11, 2004 at McCrea Manor Nursing Center.
Mrs. Canon was born October 18, 1908 in Akron, Ohio to Thomas Carl and Cecilia (Vendla) Lusk.
A former resident of North Port, Florida and Indianapolis, Indiana, Mrs. Canon was the Co-Owner of Canon Sewing Machine Company, where she was the office manager and taught sewing.
Survivors include nieces and nephews; Mel (Connie) Pucci of Alliance, Eleanor Phillips of N. Canton, Ray (Delma) Pucci of N. Canton, Robert (Joan) Pucci of Alliance, Sondra (Jack) Moorehead of Gainesville, Florida, Gladys (Bob) Aloha of Cape Coral, Florida, Robert (Pat) Showalter of Independence, Ohio, Joyce (Mike) Park of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, Janet (Dick) Schuh of Alliance, Ray (Linda) Canonico of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Henry (Cathy) Canonico of Phoenix, Arizona, Pat (Gary) Baier of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Lynn Richards of N. Canton, Ila Pucci of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Canon, who died in 1997, nephews Frank Pucci and Norman Phillips, two sisters and three brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Stirbens officiating. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
