Gladys J. Sponseller age 85 of Homeworth, died at her home Tuesday September 7, 2004.
She was born May 9, 1919 in Lake Shore, Utah to John and Josephine (Nielsen) Hicks and lived in Homeworth since 1945.
Mrs. Sponseller enjoyed golfing, quilting, bowling and gardening.
Survivors include one son, Robert E. (Sherida) Sponseller of Alliance, one daughter Betty (Larry) Dorf of Fountain Valley, California, ten grandchildren Richard, Sheri and Brian Claassen, Kenneth and Michael Sponseller, Kathryn Eastman, Debra Morrison, Rebecca Hamby, Julie Jendre and Lori Hammock, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl D. Sponseller, who died Dec. 13, 2002, one brother, and one daughter Joyce Steigner.
A private memorial service will be held on Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home
