Gladys Stanfield, age 90, of Sebring, passed away at 8:35 a.m., Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Crandall Medical Center.
She was born November 11, 1929, in Alliance, Ohio, to George and Helen (Blake) Noling.
Gladys was a graduate of Alliance High School and attended Malone College and Mount Union College.
She was employed at the former Lamborn Green House, 1952-1964, Sherwood Garment Factory, 1964-1966 and also Director of Housekeeping at Alliance City Hospital, 1966 to 1979.
Survivors include her children, Dexter (Michelle) Sams, Marshalynn Sams Sloane and Donnelle R. (Laura) Sams, all of Alliance, Timothy R. (Marlisa) Sams of East Rochester and step-daughter, Jerrilyn (Sams) Bowers of Sebring; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Roland Sams whom she married May 7, 1951 and who died April 7, 1966, second husband, Harold Stanfield whom she married in 1984 and who died October 8, 2001; son, Walter R. Sams Jr.; brothers, Clifford E. Noling, Lawrence W. Noling, Raymond Noling, and Gary Lee Noling; sisters, Mrs. Chester (Goldie) Wade, Mrs. Frances Neiswanger and Mrs. Betty Mikes.
A private service will be held at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
