Glen W. Earnest age 82 of Alliance died at the Kobacker House in Columbus at 6 p.m. September 10, 2003.
He was born in Alliance, Ohio on December 9, 1920 to Clifford and Stella (Notman) Earnest.
Mr. Earnest lived all of his life in the Alliance and Atwater areas. He worked as a tool and die maker at Goodyear Aerospace Aircraft wheel and brake for 40 years.
A member of Christ United Methodist Church, he was also a member of the Alliance Chapter VFW Post 1036, Deerfield Masonic Charity Lodge 530, and past worshipful master, member of Order of Eastern Star Palmy Chapter #114, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton, life member of Stark Consistory, and member of the Alliance Senior Citizens Center.
Mr. Earnest was a U.S. Army WWII veteran.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Elva, and daughter Susan. He leaves his wife Janet, and daughters Bonnie Anderson and Sue Hill, seven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, with Rev. David Hostetler and Rev. Hugh Hookway officiating. Interment will be at Atwater Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Kobacker House, 3595 Olentangy River Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43214.
