Glenna Jean Ray, age 76, of Alliance, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, passed away at 12:35 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Community Care Center in Alliance.
She was born May 17, 1941, in Alliance, Ohio, to Glen D. and Mary E. (Donohoe) Baker.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Glenna was formerly employed in quality control at Longaberger Basket Co. in Hartville.
She was a member of Liberty Bible Church in Atwater and a member of Secret Sisters of the church. She enjoyed cooking, time spent with her dogs, going bowling, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence "Larry" Ray of Alliance, whom she married July 25, 1959; two sons, Larry (Sue Ann) Ray of Hartville and Bob (Kris) Ray of Odessa, Florida; five grandchildren, Anthony (Sandi) Ray, Aleta (Lucas) Smithbauer, Taylor Ray, Morgan (Adam) Blake and Noah Ray; three great-grandchildren, Amelia Ray, Eleanor Ray and Carter Ray; sister, Beverly (Dave) Ray of Alliance; and brother, David (Chris) Baker of Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Glenna is preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Lou Milburn and Margaret Bittner.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Phillips officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
