Gloria A. Cockrill Conley, age 78, of Canton, formerly of Alliance, died at 12:50 a.m., September 10, 2010, at Aultman Hospital as a result of an extended illness.
She was born November 4, 1931, in Canton, Ohio, to Franklin and Isabelle (Ryan) Manly.
Gloria lived in Alliance for over 25 years and was a member of many clubs and service organizations in Alliance during those years. She moved to Canton in 1983 and worked as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau until retiring in 1996.
Besides her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by husband, Harold Frederick Cockrill in 1991; grandson, Ryan Milanich in 1992; and daughter, Louise Elaine Schworm in 2004.
Survivors include husband, Nicholas Conley Sr.; three sons, Fred (Joan) Cockrill of Alliance, Ronald (Rita) Cockrill of Virginia Beach Virginia and Rick Schworm of Canton; two granddaughters, Melanie (Andy) Ulbricht, and Tori Cockrill; one great-grandson, Landon Ryan Ulbricht; two stepchildren, Kim (Tracey) Speakman and Nick Conley, Jr. and five step-grandchildren.
Interment will be at North Lawn Cemetery in Canton, Ohio, where a graveside service will be held for immediate family and friends at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 with Marty Cash Burless officiating. No visitation will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Foltz Center, 224 Wood St. N, East Canton, Ohio 44730.
