Gloria Crawford Henck, age 78, of Louisville, died at 6:25 p.m. October 6, 2008 at Green Meadows Nursing Home.
She was born March 28, 1930 in Richwood, West Virginia to Orville and Freda (White) Crawford. Gloria graduated from high school in Chester, West Virginia and received her Bachelor's Degree in Literature from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Mass. Mrs. Henck taught English as a second language and worked for the Department of World Mission as a Missionary. She attended the Alliance Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her husband, Roy M. Henck of Louisville, whom she married June 5, 1953; four sons, Kim Andrew (Anne) Henck of Northville, NY, Rex Peter (Loral) Henck of Oklahoma City, OK, Kevin James (Deirdre) Henck of Westerville, OH, Steven Crawford (Marsha) Henck of Cedar Falls, IA; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. this Saturday at the Alliance Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Kevin Simpson officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 until the time of the service at the church. Graveside Services and interment will be held at 2 p.m. this Saturday at Locust Hill Cemetery in Chester, West Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Church of the Nazarene Missionary Health Plan c/o the Alliance Church of the Nazarene, 1345 S. Arch St. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
