Gordon C. Hickman, age 41 of Homeworth, died Thursday June 8, 2006 while working at United Foundries in Canton.
He was born Oct. 19, 1964 in Alliance, Ohio to Edgar V. and Delores (Moore) Hickman and was a lifelong Homeworth resident.
A 1983 graduate of West Branch High School, Gordon was employed as a Pitman for United Foundries in Canton and was a member of Union #3610.
He played baseball during high school at West Branch. He also traveled with the Ohio Bowlers with the Jr. Masters for one year, and was a league bowler for many years.
He is survived by his mother, Delores Hickman of Homeworth; one daughter, Chelsey Hickman of the home; and two brothers, Porter Hickman of Alliance, and Justin Hickman of Bridgewater, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church with Pastor Tom Sawyer officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes, P.O. Box 1131 Fairfax VA 22038-1131, or the charity of the donor's choice.
