Harold "Woody" Dobbs

Harold Elwood "Woody" Dobbs, age 76, of Beloit, passed away at 11:45 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2016, at his home.
Woody was born December 25, 1939, in Cameron, West Virginia, to Harold and Flossie (Logsdon) Dobbs and moved to the area in 1959.
He was a graduate of Cameron High School and was previously employed as a foreman at Alliance Rubber, tire builder at Monarch Rubber and had retired as a security guard at Babcock and Wilcox Research.
Woody, along with being an avid card player, loved talking on the telephone, reading and his dog, "Puppy".
In addition to his wife, the former Joann (Welch) Dobbs of Beloit, whom he married September 29, 1962, he is survived by his special aunt, Gladys McMillan and her sons; special cousin, Terri (Chuck) Dobbins; the Dobbs and Logsdon Clan; in-laws, Joyce Krahling, Janice Ward and Jack (Nancy) Welch; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Woody was preceded in death by his father, Harold Dobbs; mother, Flossie McKimmie; step-dad, Lloyd McKimmie; and brother, Edwin Dobbs.
A private family graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 30, 2016, at Highland Memorial Park.
The family is requesting no flowers.
