Harold Springer

Harold H. Springer, age 86 of Alliance, died at 1:44 p.m. August 10, 2005 at McCrea Manor Nursing Center.
He was born February 26, 1919 in Alliance, Ohio to Philip S. and Ethel (Miller) Springer and was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Springer retired from Kuntzman Trucking Company in 1981, after working as a truck driver.
He was a member of Teamsters Local #92, and enjoyed traveling and fishing.
A U.S. Navy W.W.II veteran, he served as a fireman in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth E (Elliott) Springer, whom he married April 1, 1941; one son, Gary A. (Lynn) Springer of Canton; and two grandchildren, Chad and Tara Springer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert, and two sisters, Gwen and Mary.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Dykshoorn officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
