Harry A. Hull, age 92, of Copeland Oaks Retirement Community, Sebring, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at home.
He was the fourth of five children; Harry was born August 19, 1919, in Struthers, Ohio to Roy G. and Mabel (Williams) Hull.
Harry was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and the Boston Theological Seminary. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Harry spent over 30 years as a Chaplin in the Army Reserves.
As an ordained Methodist minister, Harry served Methodist churches in Strongsville, Painesville and Detroit Avenue Lakewood Church. He also served the Perry Heights United Methodist Church (1952-60), Asbury United Methodist Church, Delaware (1960-63), Hubbard United Methodist Church (1963-70), Willowick United Methodist Church (1970-75) and the First United Methodist Church of Ashland (1975-82). After his retirement in 1982, Harry lived in Ashland, Lakeside and Copeland Oaks.
Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Jean (Flaherty) Hull, whom he married April 24, 1973; daughters, Susan H. Butler of Poquoson, Virginia and Sally A. Hull of Ashland, Ohio; grandson, Brian and wife Angela Butler and great grandsons Benjamin (11) and Joshua (8).
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Marjory Miller; his brothers Roy (Harry's twin), Robert and Owen and his sister Mildred.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Copeland Oaks Chapel with the Rev. Coralee Cox and Rev. Tom Snyder officiating. Friends can visit with the family immediately following the service on Tuesday.
Interment will be at Poland Cemetery, Poland Ohio.
