Harry M. Wilson, Jr. age 92, of Alliance, died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012, at his home with his wife by his side.
He was born August 20, 1919, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Harry M. Sr. and Frances (King) Wilson.
A graduate of University of Pittsburgh, Harry spent many years as a purchasing agent for Sancap until his retirement. As a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII, he was the recipient of three Bronze Stars.
Harry loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed woodworking. An avid hunter, Harry enjoyed hunting with his dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Lucile (Langworthy) Wilson, whom he married on September 3, 1946; three daughters, Lynn (Paul) Digby of Alliance, Anne (John) Lika of Vermont and Martha (partner, Todd York) Mayer of Cincinnati, OH; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Philippe) Couillez of Alliance, David (Michelle) Gross of Columbus, OH, Katherine Lika of Vermont and Abbey Mayer of Columbus, OH; and one sister, Frances Gage Allam of Franklin, PA.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Union Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. David Andrews, Minister of Pastoral Care at Union Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service, at the church.
