Hazel Blake

Hazel M. Blake, age 83, of Alliance died at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Aultman Hospital. She was born June 22, 1925 in Cameron, West Virginia to Ellis and Lizzie (Blake) Blake and has lived in Alliance for 60 years. Hazel was employed as a nurse's aid and a notary at Blake Auto Sales. She was a member of the Alliance Baptist Temple and made quilts and collected baby dolls. Survivors include her three daughters, Mary (Guy) Wetzel of Alliance, Joyce Blake of Homeworth and Betty (Lawrence) Rupp of Alliance; son, Danny (Nancy) Blake of Sebring; a sister, May Kidd of Sebring; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard Blake who died in 1992; her daughter, Carol Hickman and sisters, Ethel Crow and Grace Weimer. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2008 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Services will be officiated by Pastor Randy Payne of Alliance Baptist Temple. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, Alliance, Ohio
