Hazel M. Glass, age 84, of Alliance, died at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Canterbury Villa.
She was born June 14, 1923 in Alliance to Fred and Violet (Lee) Baxter and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Glass was a member of Southside Church of God where she formerly taught Sunday school, was a member of Women's Group WCG and was active in various ministries. She was an Alliance High School graduate. Her life was devoted to the care and nurture of her children and grand children.
Survivors include her son, Richard (Marsha) Glass of Louisville; her daughters, Nancy (Bill Floyd) Kaley and Mary (Evert) Gibson, both of Alliance; 8 grandchildren, Amy, Julie, Cindy, Ryan, Bryce, Greg, Mark and Matt; 9 great-grandchildren, Tristin, Annaliese, Megan, Danielle, Tyler, Katelyn, Ashley, Grace and Jeff; brother, Donald (Claudia) Baxter of Alliance; sisters, Betty (Paul) Clair and Edna (John) Michael all of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul T. Glass whom she married February 16, 1941 and who died February 19, 2005; daughter, Gail Starr and three brothers.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with David Storlie officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Southside Church of God, 1520 S. Sawburg Ave. Alliance, Ohio 44601. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, Alliance, Ohio.
