Helen B. Sollie, age 92, of Alliance, died at 10:35 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2007 at Crandall Medical Center.
She was born October 19, 1914 in Conneaut, Ohio to Julius and Elizabeth Bader.
She was employed by Alliance Manufacturing for 22 years before retiring.
Helen was a very loving and caring person and enjoyed birds and loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter Dorothy H. Clark of Alliance; son, George R. (Edith) Sollie of Marathon, Fla; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Brown, Heidi Pouch, Amy Sollie Child, Steve Clark, Bill Eby, Cindy Gable and Diane Lezman; 16 great grandchildren; one sister, Irene Bertholf of Kingsville, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Sollie whom she married April 17, 1933 and who died August 24, 1976; and daughter Charlotte Eby Heindel who died in 1996.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St. Canfield, Ohio, 44406-9274 or the National Federation of the Blind, 1800 Johnson St. Baltimore, MD, 21230.
