Helen C. Becker Fox age 87 of Alliance, died at 3:30 p.m. March 29, 2004 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born October 7, 1916 in West Moreland County, Pennsylvania to Charles and Gertrude (Stump) Renz, and lived in Alliance since 1941.
Mrs. Becker Fox worked at Parkway Lanes before purchasing Timashani Campground, with her husband in 1980, until retiring in 1990.
A member of First Emmanuel Church of Christ, Mrs. Fox was involved with the Loyalty Circle at church.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy (Robert) Parkison of Alliance, and Patricia Hunt of Boyds Maryland, one son, Robert (Linda) Becker of Alliance, two granddaughters; Barbara (Jon) Hunt of Alliance, and Elizabeth (Peter) VanDerHam of Germantown, Maryland, four grandsons; Clyde (Susan) Hunt of Woodvine, Maryland, David (Naima) Hunt of Fredrick, Maryland, Jon (Barbara) Hunt of Alliance, and William (Barbara) Parkison of Alliance, nine great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, one step-daughter; Evelyn (Irving) Leiberman of Pittsburgh, Pa., two step-grandchildren, James Leiberman and Mary (Frank) D'Abarna, and two step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Robert E. Becker, whom she married in 1936, and who died in 1966, and her second husband, L. Earl Fox, whom she married in 1980, and who died in 1997, four sisters, Ruth McFall, Mary Armerbaugh, Fay Bowman, Elva Baker, and one brother, Charles Renz.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Neal Mann officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to Caring Hands, 885 S. Sawburg Rd. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
