Helen Rose Schmidt Kindig age 93 of Alliance, formerly of Belleflower Dr., died at Bel-Air Care Center at 3:25 p.m. Friday July 25, 2003.
She was born March 3, 1910 in Alliance to Christian and Rosina (Werren) Schmidt and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Kindig graduated from Alliance High School, and was employed by the former City Savings Bank as Secretary to the President.
She was a member of First Immanuel United Church of Christ, its Rhoda Sunday School Class, and Loyalty Circle. She was also a member of Buckeye Trailer Club.
Survivors include; one son Dr. Warren V. (Linda) Kindig of Wayne, Maine, one daughter Lois D. (Glenn) Rupp of Alliance, granddaughters Jennifer (Anthony) Kirby of Alliance, Kristen (Jason) Koler of Spokane WA, Allison Rupp of Cincinnati, OH, grandsons Dr. Christopher Kindig of Miami, Fla., and Jonathan (Robin) Kindig of Lexington KY, and three great granddaughters.
Mrs. Kindig was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald V. Kindig, whom she married in 1935, and who died December 2, 2002, and two brothers Edward and Walter Schmidt.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Neal Mann officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
