Helen B. Lab, age 80 of Alliance, died at 2 p.m. Aug. 31, 2004 at Roselawn Terrace Nursing Center.
She was born March 25, 1924 in Rochester, Pennsylvania to Edgar and Helen (Cox) Irwin.
Mrs. Lab graduated in 1942 from Alliance High School, and was the former co-owner of Mobill Wheel Alinement with her husband. She enjoyed fishing trips, traveling, and tap dancing in her younger years. She was a member of the Alliance Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include her husband Maurice Lab, whom she married Dec. 30, 1944; two daughters Darla (Frank) Franko of Mishawaka, Indiana and Tracy (Greg) Schall of Ocoee, Florida, four sons Rick (Patty) Lab, Steven (Jamie) Lab and Dennis (Brenda) Lab, all of Alliance, and Gary (Robin) Lab of Houston, Texas, twelve grandchildren Scott, Jeff and Tom Franko, Stacy Carnes, Kelly Bing, Joshua Lab, Wendy and Ashley Lab, Chris and Megan Lab, Madelyn and Dalton Schall, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two grandsons Robert Michael Lab and David Scott Lab.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
