Helen M. Burmeister

Helen M. Burmeister, age 83 of Alliance, died at 2:15 p.m. October 10, 2005 at Bel Air Care Center.
Mrs. Burmeister was born Nov. 3, 1921 in New York, to Harry and Mary (Leary) Burden, and lived in Alliance since 1965.
She graduated from Jackson High School in Queens, New York.
A member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, Mrs. Burmeister was a life member of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteered as a Pink Lady at Alliance Community Hospital for many years.
She is survived by her sons, Fred (Martha) Burmeister of Arcadia, Ca., Robert (Esther) Burmeister of San Diego, Ca., Harry (Debbie) Burmeister of Brewster, Oh., Thomas Burmeister of Alliance, John (Gloria) Burmeister of Alliance, and Jamie (Danielle) Burmeister of Alliance, eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry (Anne) Burden of Silver Springs Md., and one sister, Barbara Goll of Boston, Ma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Richard and William, and her husband, Fred Burmeister, whom she married in Jan. 1941, and who died Sept. 15, 1982.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Regina Coeli Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Seifert officiating. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
