Helen Marie Helsel, age 98, of Alliance, died at 12:50 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2011, at Altercare of Alliance.
She was born November 8, 1912, in Harrisburg, Oh. to Lewis and Mary (Haidet) Moulin.
Mrs. Helsel was a member of the Regina Coeli Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing Euchre, Hearts and Spades, traveling, watching game shows and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two sons, Earl P. Helsel of Grapevine, Tx. and William L. (Patricia) Helsel of Tampa, Fla.; daughter, Marie H. Cox of Alliance; six grandchildren, Billy, Tricia, John, Kathy, Robert and Teresa; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Helsel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl M. Helsel, whom she married March 5, 1935, and who died March 1988; one grandchild, Steven; three brothers; and a sister.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Fr. Mike Seifert officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be at Hartzell Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease and Other Related Disorders Association, 3695 Boardman-Canfield Rd, Canfield, Oh. 44406.
