Helen Smith

Helen Smith, age 96, of Navarre, Ohio, formerly of Alliance, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Country Lawn Center in Navarre.
She was born January 24, 1914, in Alliance, to Joseph and Anna (Fabian) Hagi and resided in the Alliance vicinity most of her life.
Helen attended Alliance Public Schools and was employed by Alliance Community Hospital in the Dietary Department.
She was a member of the Beechwood United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Brownfield of Canton; daughter-in-law, Carlotta Smith of Alliance; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold L. Smith, whom she married August 9, 1933 and who died, May 18, 1974; son, Robert L. Smith; granddaughter, Kristine Smith; two brothers; and a sister.
A Chapel Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2010, at Highland Memorial Park with Pastor Bob Miller of the Beechwood United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow.
