Henry F. Leasure Jr.

Henry F. “Hank” Leasure Jr., age 79, while surrounded by family, transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on October 27, 2024, following a courageous 8-month battle with Glioblastoma.

He was born on February 26, 1945, in Alliance to the late Henry F. Leasure Sr. and Ruth (Floor) Leasure Thomas.

Hank began his career at Morgan Engineering becoming a Journeyman Machinist/Estimator, and finished his career as Plant Manager of Permco, Inc. in Streetsboro. 

Hank attended Grace Community Church of Alliance. He was passionate about sharing his love of the Lord with others. He served as an Elder, Sunday School Teacher, and Church Bus Driver. As a man of faith, Hank could always be counted on to offer Godly counsel to those in need. 

Hank attended Alliance High School prior to joining the Army’s 101st Airborne Division as a Recondo “Pathfinder”. As a U.S. Army Veteran, Hank was a member of the American Legion.

Hank loved spending time with his family and although not a sports enthusiast, he never missed watching his children or grandchildren compete.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Sonia (Monnette) Leasure; son, Mark Leasure; daughters, Brooke (John) McCarty and Brenda (Ken) Fogle; grandchildren, Mason and Spencer McCarty and Asher and Zander Fogle; brother, David (Sharon) Leasure; sister, Betty (Robert) Bryant; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Leasure; and in-laws, Clarence and Lorraine Monnette. 

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Grace Community Church of Alliance, with a Celebration of Life to follow.
