Henry John Pinter, age 88, of Homeworth, died at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 28, 2005 at Canterbury Villa.
He was born July 21, 1917 in Lexington Twp., Ohio to Henry "Bozo" and Marie Ella (Linawabar) Pinter and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Pinter attended Lexington School and worked as a metallurgist and welding specialist/consultant at B&W before retiring in 1982. During his employment with Babcock and Wilcox he also worked with the Department of Defense on nuclear reactors on submarines in the welding capacity. After his retirement, he worked as a welding consultant, and owned his own welding shop at his home until 2002. Mr. Pinter held many patents in welding. He was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Alberta Edinger of Homeworth, Cynthia Wolverton of Ravenna, and Linda Fix of Rocklin, California; four granddaughters, Roberta McComb of Homeworth, Michelle Hall of Marlboro, Christine Zuhlsdorf of San Pedro, California, and Danielle Oyster of South Carolina; one great-granddaughter, Heather Hoopes of Alliance, four great-grandsons, Courtney Hall, J.C. Hall, Zachary Hall, and Harley Hall, all of Marlboro; two great-great-grandchildren, Madison Hoopes and Cameron Hall; and one brother, George Pinter of Alliance. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen (Admonious) Pinter, on Dec. 26, 2000, one sister, Betty, and one brother, Joseph.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Fr. Mike Seifert officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
